One Week ‘til Christmas Review

Two people. One chance meeting. Seven days to Christmas.

– Belinda Missen

Isobel Bennett is waiting for the number 11 bus when a man quite literally falls into her lap. Snow is falling, Christmas lights are twinkling, and a gorgeous man with dark brown hair has just slipped on ice and is now pressed against Isobel.

Isobel knows she’s not imagining the chemistry between them. But then his ride arrives and, embarrassed, he beats a hasty retreat, murmuring apologies – and Isobel realises only too late that she didn’t manage to catch his name…

When she runs into him again the next morning, she decides it’s fate.

It’s a second chance for Isobel and Tom – but there’s only one week until she’s leaving London for good. Seven days of enjoying all the festive delights the city has to offer: ice-skating at Somerset House, mulled wine on the Southbank, Christmas shopping at Liberty.

There’s magic in the air and mistletoe in the trees – but what will happen when the week is over?

My Review

Perfect Christmas read! Super festive and full of holiday bliss and joy!

I felt like I was walking around the streets of London during Christmas! From ice- skating to Santa, to wine drinking, and caroling. All while witnessing the most romantically beautiful Christmas love story!

Even though the book only covers a span of a week, the main character has an amazing and significant character development! That is one thing I really look for in a book, I loved watching Isobel go from shy and doing everything her asshole boss told her- no matter if it was a bit ethically wrong- in fear of losing her job. To blossoming into a confident woman and standing up to her asshole boss.

Let’s talk about Tom for a second- at first I thought he was going to be a typical rich actor. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how genuine he actually is!

Overall, it was a sweet, short, fun, and easy read, and most of the characters were super cute and likable.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advanced ebook!
